We believe that engagement in the arts should be part of children’s daily lives because creative engagement results in healthier children and society. Many of the children are talented however, they require a platform to showcase their talent. Vision of Joy envisions creating a space for these children to learn about culture through the practice of music and dance. We created a place where orphaned children feel that they are part of something and have a sense of community that is built through the practice and appreciation of various cultural music and dance forms. Our approach to this project and community is to have a deep commitment to social justice, equality, inclusion and equity.
